Purpose Statement
This is the official alumni website of Columbia Pacific University. Founded in March 2001 as a community of concern our number of participants continue to grow. Our aim is building and expanding a vibrant alumni community and supporting CPU graduates.
Many of us teach at traditional universities or are in positions of leadership and responsibility in the public and private sectors.
It was in the midst of CPU's difficulties in meeting changing state regulations (late 1990's) that a small group of alumni came together in search of both facts and meaning. Some of our findings on the above matters appear on this website the section on CPU History.
This website is operated solely by volunteers. We are active in support of the 7500 individuals that have graduated from CPU between 1978 and 2001.
We are also working to CPU make a comeback. But we also want to tell our own stories as alumni that came out of a leading institution which pioneered and set standards standards for nontraditional and distance education in the USA beginning in 1978.
